Towel day

Tue May 26, 2009, 1:41 PM
...was yesterday i know, but still let´s do this, cause i think is the only jornal i do in the year. The Towel day is to comemorate Douglas Adns, the creator of the The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. He´s dead soo to remeber him the Towel day was created. Here´s some quotes from the book wich i got from wikiquote:

"The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't."

"He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it"

"You know," said Arthur, "it's at times like this, when I'm trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish I'd listened to what my mother told me when I was young."
"Why, what did she tell you?"
"I don't know, I didn't listen."

"Space," it says, "is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindbogglingly big it is. I mean you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."

"I'd far rather be happy than right any day."

"It said: "The History of every major Galactic Civilization tends to pass through three distinct and recognizable phases, those of Survival, Inquiry and Sophistication, otherwise known as the How, Why and Where phases.
"For instance, the first phase is characterized by the question How can we eat? the second by the question Why do we eat? and the third by the question Where shall we have lunch?"

That is all people, thank you for your time.

Alas the Towel Day is upon us yet again!
For this year, here´s some quotes form the HHGTTG saga(Taken from wikiquote):

"Any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is clearly a man to be reckoned with."
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"Have you any idea how much damage that bulldozer would suffer if I just let it roll straight over you?" said Mr. Prosser.
"How much?" asked Arthur.
"None at all," Mr. Prosser replied.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"This must be Thursday," said Arthur musing to himself, sinking low over his beer, "I never could get the hang of Thursdays."
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so." -Ford Prefect
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"Many had seen it as a clinching proof that the whole of known creation had finally gone bananas."
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"You know," said Arthur, "it's at times like this, when I'm trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish I'd listened to what my mother told me when I was young."
[Ford Prefect:] "Why, what did she tell you?"
"I don't know, I didn't listen."
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"Space," it says, "is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindboggingly big it is. I mean you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

A computer chatted to itself in alarm as it noticed an airlock open and close itself for no apparent reason.
This was because Reason was in fact out to lunch.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

"In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

"The universe is a lot more complicated than you might think even if you start from a position of thinking that its pretty damn complicated to begin with."

Finally finish the Dark Tower Series!
It worth all the waiting and more.King really Know how to tell a storie.I won´t tell more because maybe you haven´t read the book and i will not spoil it.If you never heard about the serie pelase find the first book and start reading it.The name is "The Gunslinger".But be warned that if you begging reading, that will be no stoping till the end, till Roland finds that damn Black Tower of his.Is the best work of Stephen King, and he himself agree about this point. But you don´t have to trust me,read yourself and them make your own opinion.

Terminei a série Torre Negra!
